Human K-Ras 2A
Human K-Ras 2A Xpress Clones express the KRAS2 transcript variant A, a member of the small GTPase superfamily that acts as a molecular switch by cycling between active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) states. The K-Ras 2A isoform, produced via alternative splicing, includes exon 4a and differs from the 2B variant in the C-terminal region. Activating mutations like G12V are associated with several cancers, including lung adenocarcinoma, pancreatic ductal carcinoma, and colorectal cancer. The S17N mutant serves as a dominant-negative form commonly used to inhibit Ras signaling. These clones are valuable for studying oncogenic signaling, GTPase regulation, and cancer biology. - 20 ug each
