Reactivity: (Homo sapiens) UniProt:P01011 Abbreviation:SERPINA3 Alternative Names:AACT; ACT; GIG24; GIG25; MGC88254; alpha-1-antichymotrypsin|growth-inhibiting protein 24|growth-inhibiting protein 25|serine (or cysteine) proteinase inhibitor; clade A; member 3|serpin peptidase in Application:ELISA Range:3.12-200 ng/mL Sensitivity:1.47 ng/mL Intra-AssayCV:?7.4% Inter-AssayCV:?11.1% Recovery:1.08 Sample Type:Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids Detection Method:Sandwich Analysis Method??:Quantitive Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate SERPINA3 in samples. An antibody specific for SERPINA3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anySERPINA3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjµgated antibody specific for SERPINA3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjµgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of SERPINA3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Product Overview:Alpha 1-antichymotrypsin is an alpha globµLin glycoprotein that is a member of the serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) family. It inhibits the activity of certain enzymes called proteinases, such as cathepsin G that is found in neutrophils, and chymases found in mast cells, by cleaving them into a different shape or conformation. This activity protects some tissues, such as the lower respiratory tract, from damage caused by proteolytic enzymes. This enzyme is produced in the liver, and is an acute phase protein that is induced during inflammation. Deficiency of this protein has been associated with liver disease. Mutations have been identified in patients with Parkinson disease and chronic obstructive pµLmonary disease. Stability:The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calcµLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).
